We have developed a program called Brain Activation Therapy to help individuals resist the symptoms of dementia. Our practice is based on the latest research into cognitive stimulation and rehabilitation. In 2007 we were recognized as one of the top innovators in health care in Denver, Colorado by the Denver Business Journal as part of the annual Champions in Health Care.
We seek full and part-time individuals who are interested in providing Cognitive and Mental Health Therapies to people experiencing memory loss due to the aging process, dementia (to include Alzheimer’s), stroke and traumatic brain injury.
Our clinicians function as part of a multidisciplinary team that provides care for clients in private residences and senior living communities, with a primary focus on clients living with cognitive and mild emotional challenges. Clinicians are responsible for comprehensive assessment and treatment of persons whose lives are impacted by cognitive conditions, mental health issues (depression, anxiety, adjustment disorder…etc), or a declining capacity to function independently. Duties include (but aren’t limited to) completing cognitive and mental health evaluations; delivering cognitive and emotional therapies; completing timely and accurate charting; and participating in peer reviews.

Education/Experience:
- Current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Psychologist (PsyD or PhD) in good standing in Colorado (these licensure requirements are not optional or negotiable) (sorry we can’t accept EdD, LSW, LMFT, or LPC credentials)
- Minimum 2 years supervised clinical experience. Assessment and evaluation experience preferred
- Experience working in the mental health field, preferentially experience working with geriatric clients in a mental health setting
- Experience in various treatment modalities appropriate for specified population utilizing strength-based therapeutic approaches
- Special consideration given to those currently impaneled with Secure Horizons, United Behavioral Health, or Evercare
- Special consideration given to those currently credentialed with Medicare.
Knowledge, Skill and Ability:
- Knowledge of professional mental health practices and ability to deliver and evaluate client care
- Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods, and techniques of counseling, mental health and medical health (as appropriate to discipline) to provide ongoing patient care
- Skill in taking personal/family history, assessing condition, and interpreting findings
- Must be able to visually observe client needs and responses to therapy
- Skill in preparing and maintaining records, writing reports, and responding to correspondence
- Skill in delivering and maintaining practice quality standards
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with clients, families, medical professionals, and the public
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in challenging situations
- Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures
- Ability to use a computer, office software and web-based applications effectively, including MS Word, Excel, and email software
